Well hey, I had been designing websites for these guys for a few years so it certainly stands to reason that I would be called upon to help with the redesign of their parent website.
The Problem
The existing SMA website had myriad issues… it was inflexible structurally, communicatively lackluster, very dated looking and completely brand inaccurate. Which is a shame because their in-house designer had created some truly beautiful print collateral pieces just aching to have a web partner.
The Process
Working as I generally do, with SMA’s management and talented in-house designers, we defined the structure of the site, new features and goals and outlined how we might bring the online presence more in line with the offline presence (say that five time quickly).
The Solution
The design builds on the strengths of the SMA brand… clean, spartan, professional, polished, and putting the clients and their work at the forefront. It was an absolute pleasure to work on and SMA was as thrilled with the results as I was!
