I’ve worked with the great folks over at Rebit and their brilliant Windows backup software for going on 6 and a half years as of this writing and have developed a deep understanding of their business and am regularly deeply involved in product planning, design and rollout as well as all of the related marketing materials.
So it was natural that when it came time to revisit the Rebit website to coincide with the major release of their Rebit 5 software, that I would be involved.
The Problem
Rebit had very high demands for the redesign process. Not only should the website coordinate with the launch of the newly updated backup software, but it should be search engine optimized (SEO), and have a thoroughly modern content management system (CMS) to corral new pages, the blog, a revamped and custom ecommerce process and of course look beautiful and jive with the rest of the Rebit collateral and marketing efforts.
The Process
Rebit created an internal management team consisting of the lead product manager, support, administration, and of course management. They also partnered with a HubSpot development team to implement the backend and do the overall development work. I worked closely and liaised with both groups regularly as we defined the needs, goals, structure and of course the look and feel of the site.
The Solution
Taking cues from the marketing collateral, industrial design of the hardware and UX/design work I had performed for the Rebit 5 UI, we successfully integrated all of the components into a brand spanking new site that has seen their traffic and revenue spike significantly!
