A wonderful product manager and good friend brought me this website redesign project and in the process I was fortunate to learn that one of the foremost developers of geologic software used around the world was actually right at my backdoor in Golden, Colorado.
The Problem
Golden Software’s website was functional from the perspective of being up and out there. But it was falling woefully short in effectively or clearly communicating the wonderful technical strengths and diversity of the advanced mapping and graphing software solutions on offer, let alone presenting a modern or technically sophisticated face to reflect that offering.
The Process
Working closely with the product manager and the management team at Golden Software we identified many of the core strengths of both the company and their strong relationships with customers. I devised a thoroughly modern interpretation of their color scheme and performed a light update to the logo to modernize it a bit. We also visited the untapped SEO and social marketing opportunities to reinforce existing relationships and to build new ones. I built strategies around those initiatives and incorporated them into the final designs.
The Solution
The final website has proven to be quite the hit with the customers and the bottom line! And its been a great sign to see that having a new site that is functional in many more dimensions has re-invigorated Golden Software’s interest in that facet of their marketing and sales, with updates made on a regular basis.
