Long time collaborators SpireMedia approached me with a project to make all designers, especially agency designers’ lives easier. So who was I to say no to that proposition?
The Problem
The concept was to make agency designers’ lives easier by providing a tool to both archive and streamline the design and approval phases with an online review process including version archiving, notes, a digital whiteboard and much more.
The Process
The IA folks with SpireMedia handled the lion’s share of the structure and flow directly with the client, with me making suggestions and contributions around the edges based on how the design was falling out. Multiple rounds of design and review were required for each of the major facets of the UI and I worked directly with SpireMedia’s engineers on the technical implementation and to ensure the design details were clear and accurately represented both visually and behaviorally.
The Solution
I honestly have no idea what became of the project once my portion was complete, however I do know that both the end client and SpireMedia both were very happy with the results. With the latter actually coming back and offering me a job as an art director, so I must have been doing something right!
